Richard Cochrane is trained in chemistry and metallurgy but is far more interested and practiced as a political and fund raising consultant, writer and amateur historian. He grew up in a Navy family and with his two younger brothers carried on its 500+ year tradition of naval service to Great Britain and the USA then enjoyed a career with one of the largest advertising and public relations agencies working with numerous Fortune 500 companies and many of America's premier educational institutions. He maintains friendships and acquaintanceships around the world. He lives in Santa Barbara, California.

What’s Behind that Grin?A dozen senior campaign staffers for Rudy Giuliani are forgoing their January paychecks, aides told Associated Press Friday, a sign of money trouble for the Republican presidential candidate that he denies. His Florida “firewall” is on fire as McCain takes the lead there. Republican Romney is said to be consulting his personal piggy bank and if he loses South Carolina, although he’d be politically dead, he’d likely stick around.

It snowed in Baghdad Friday for the first time in 100 years and some residents are calling it an omen of peace – hey it worked for the Green Bay Packers. Maybe for McCain too.
