Super Size the Common Sense
John McCain made a sale at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC). NEWSMAX’S Kessler says, “What was impressive about McCain’s speech was its sincerity. “He said he would listen to what conservatives have to say, and while he might change on some issues, he hoped they would understand if he does not. Finally, by avoiding specifics, the man in line to be the Republican candidate for president made common cause with conservatives. We’ve had Eisenhower, Reagan and Compassionate Conservatives now we needs COMMON SENSE CONSERVATIVES.

common sense? A whole heap of the common two step. Lie about what your opponents have done or stated and state you may have been misunderstood in your own statements.
“I will fight to make the Bush tax breaks permanent”, NOW that you want me too, and I see I need you to get into office.
“I Intend to make unmistakably clear to Iran we will not permit a government that espouses the destruction of the state of Israel..” Apparently we are not only going to be the police of our own sovereign state, not only are we willing to put new leaders into other countries, not only are we about to police the Internet with the “thought police” with the Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act, but NOW under the Mc Cain Administration we will keep foreign, sovereign countries from even THINKING, let alone acting on the idea, that Israel cannot exist.
Please do not misunderstand, I WANT ISRAEL to exist. I also want people to see that common sense is not all that common in the discourse of the Republican party as it is configured today.
