Richard Cochrane is trained in chemistry and metallurgy but is far more interested and practiced as a political and fund raising consultant, writer and amateur historian. He grew up in a Navy family and with his two younger brothers carried on its 500+ year tradition of naval service to Great Britain and the USA then enjoyed a career with one of the largest advertising and public relations agencies working with numerous Fortune 500 companies and many of America's premier educational institutions. He maintains friendships and acquaintanceships around the world. He lives in Santa Barbara, California.

SNL SKIT HAS LEFT IN SNIT

Most people don't even know anything about him yet they are proud that they voted for him.OBAMA supporters and the left in general are upset SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE uses a “non-black” man in makeup to lampoon BARACK OBAMA. Saying it smacks of “blackface” burlesque comics and if SNL is to continue they should find a black man apparently with suitable ears. Cynics say this is really an effort to stop SNL from spoofing Obama.

    You indicate no sources for this. “Obama supporters and the left in general” - who are saying this? I’m an Obama supporter and on the left, and I’m not bothered by it. There are always going to be some people who will complain about something. Some people, on both the left and the right, have no sense of humor. As far as the “blackface” issue, didn’t look to me like he wore a lot of makeup. You should be complaining about the fact that it wasn’t that funny. By the way, where’s the hypocrisy?

    The SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE flap has been all over talk radio and cable news. The actor is “not black” and did wear makeup. Callers to talk radio have whined about. It is simply a scam to pressure SNL to stop spoofing B. O. but they show no sign of it and if they do collapse they are cowards. B. O. is in the kitchen and he will not be able to stand the heat.
